Client Sales Executive UK & IRE

The Client Sales Executive will expand the MolGen customer base in the UK and act as a customer advocate for the assigned accounts. You will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with the contacts, key business executives and stakeholders, always striving to ensure our products best fit the individual needs of the customer. You will liaise with MolGen internal teams (including Operations and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience, ensuring that client needs are understood and satisfied. This is achieved by direct sales to customers, collecting information, such as sales leads or testimonials, assisting in the processing and analysis of client data and complaints, and identifying trends.

Client Sales Executive UK & IRE – Life Sciences Sales

As an Client Sales Executive you will answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. To be able to do this successfully the you must have a detailed knowledge of the entire MolGen portfolio.


  • To identify opportunities for new products in genomics
  • 100% new business development, via a combination of telephone, digital and F2F methods
  • Utilising existing leads whilst creating your own through attending exhibitions and other creative methods
  • Create medium and long-term sales pipeline while maximising the vast numbers of quick, short-term wins
  • To gather market intelligence and feed it back to the Sales Manager and the respective peers in the organisation
  • Face-to-face visits targeting Laboratories, Universities, Science Parks, etc
  • Involve technical personnel to resolve customer issues and problems as needed
  • Deliver client presentations accompanied & supported by technical colleagues
  • Gain understanding of each customer’s unique requirements and challenges and work with all areas of the organisation to try and develop resolutions to them.
  • Prepare quotes, writing tenders & close deals
  • To increase awareness of the MolGen product brands by organising and attending exhibitions, seminars and other events and by conducting direct marketing initiative alongside other promotional activities as required
  • Grow business pipeline across multiple stakeholders
  • Using Salesforce CRM system

Candidates should have the following characteristics & experiences:

  • The ideal candidate will be educated with a higher degree in Biology with a preferable Molecular Biology background. A Master’s degree would be an advantage
  • Laboratory experience would be extremely beneficial
  • A previous experience of technical selling within the Life Science, Industrial and/or Academic sector
  • Solid understanding of sales skills as prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers are strongly preferred
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good organizational skills (time and territory management)
  • Meticulous maintenance of CRM for funnel management
  • Able to adhere to deadlines
  • Proficient to work with personal computer, e-mail, CRM and Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, team spirit, a self-motivated and results driven personality, who enjoys working on their own as well as part of a team is crucial in this role
