Sample Collection & Sample tracking

Such a process typically starts with a solution for sampling. We have several options available for sampling in the animal world, e.g. 96-well format for shrimp, nose swabs for cattle, sheep and goat, or animal hair. Plant samples are typically collected in 96 well systems. The sample collection devices include barcodes and may be supported by phone Apps.

Sample Processing

If required, sample lysis may already be done by the time the sample is received the a laboratory. After receiving the samples at the (central) laboratory, automated solutions are present to optimize the process. For example, we offer Tube Transfer robots to flawlessly transfer liquids from tubes to 96 well plates.

Automated Nucleic Acid Purification

Our automation solutions support extraction of nucleic acids, towards purified DNA, RNA or comparable. Methods are optimized for the throughput required. Our solutions include dedicated protocols for ultra high molecular weight (uHMW), cell free DNA (cfDNA) and volume reduction required in water testing.

Sample Amplification

With automated PCR cyclers and other systems the samples are made ready for analysis in further downstream applications.

Downstream Applications

For further downstream analysis of DNA, RNA, microbiome, downstream sequencing or beadchip applications we support and provide a range of equipment to align the sample flow.

Integrated software

The output of such analysis is typically computer-driven. Depending on the application, software is provided to generate actual test results.

Supporting Equipment

Ancillary instrumentation including incubation, centrifugation, mixing, sealing, plate readers and other small lab instruments that complete the workflow.
