Innovative Workflow Automation
MolGen provides workflows as a complete solution provider for our clients. Workflows (or parts of a workflow) allow for the complete optimization of a process. The entire workflow is designed to fit any laboratory size. We work closely with our clients to develop an optimal mix of sample receptables, consumables, reagents, hardware, automation and (middleware) software.
As solution provider we combine the best products from our network to offer value-added and comprehensive projects for our client from concept to installation and long-term support.
Where the solutions of other suppliers stop, MolGen actively collaborates with our clients to make the workflow as innovative as possible.
Sample Collection
We have several options available for sampling in the animal world, e.g. for shrimp, cattle, sheep, goat and pigs. Animal sample types include the whole spectrum including hair, swabs, saliva, blood, cartilage, semen etc.
Plant (leaf/seed) samples are typically collected in 96 well systems.
Our sample collection devices include various tubes and transportation buffers. These can be supported with barcodes, automation and phone applications.
Sample Formatting
If required, sample lysis may already be done by the time the sample is received the a laboratory. After receiving the samples at the (central) laboratory, automated solutions enable reliable and fast turnaround time.
We offer a range of hardware for sample formatting, from manual LabTIE dispensers to fully automated Tube Transfer robots that can flawlessly transfer liquids from tube to plate.
Nucleic Acid Purification
Our automated solutions support extraction of nucleic acids, towards purified DNA, RNA or comparable. MolGen can provide systems reagents and consumables for any sample volume, from low- to high-throughput.
All standard protocols are available for these solutions as well as dedicated protocols for (ultra) high molecular weight (uHMW), cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and volume reduction required in water testing.
Genetic Analysis
With automated PCR cyclers and other systems the samples are made ready for analysis in further downstream applications and interpretation.
For further downstream analysis of DNA, RNA, microbiome, downstream sequencing or beadchip applications we support and provide a range of equipment to align the sample flow. Applications include common technologies such as KASP, Taqman, qPCR and Oxford Nanopore.
Depending on the application, software is provided to interpret test results.
